Three prices and one rule. There is nothing else — no tier above these, no per-photo fee, no storage charge, and nothing expires.

Nobody is turned away at the door. If more people come than the tier, we nudge the host to size up and the capsule opens either way.
astra plus — $3.99/month or $29.99/year
Cancel any time. It sells choice, not quantity: choose your film each day instead of being dealt it, all eighteen stocks rather than the free five, your own capsules developing at midnight instead of nine, a free peek on every capsule, and four more app icons.
A peek on its own is $1.99: one photo developed early, before the rest.
Film is earned, never sold
The rule the rest of it hangs off. Nobody can buy themselves more daily film, because charging for it would tax the one thing the product depends on — shooting, which makes a reveal, which is the reason anyone opens the app the next morning.
One roll is 12 frames. You get up to three a day:
- 1 roll (12 frames) — your roll for the day.
- 2 rolls (24 frames) — shoot in a capsule someone else hosts for a second.
- 3 rolls (36 frames) — start a capsule someone else joins for a third.
The ladder is identical on plus. A host who buys a paid tier funds their guests' film, so nobody is ever turned away at a paid event because of what they shot at brunch.
Questions
Does it cost guests anything?
No. Guests never pay and never subscribe. They join with their first name, or an email code to keep their photos on any phone, and a peek is there only if they want one and the host has not switched peeks off.
Is there a subscription?
Not for capsules — those are one-time and priced by headcount. astra plus is optional and buys the film and the wait, not access.
What is actually free?
A capsule for up to ten people, as many as you like, a roll dealt to you every day from all eighteen stocks, five stocks you can pick yourself, and photos that never expire, at full resolution with no watermark.
Do guests need the app?
No. Guests scan the QR or open the link, and it works in the phone’s browser; the iPhone app is there for anyone who wants it. A first name gets them in, and an email code keeps their photos.
Is developing ever behind a paywall?
No. Every capsule opens for everyone in it, whether anyone paid or not. plus changes when your own capsules open, never whether they do.
